Peran Guru Akidah Akhlak Dalam Membentuk Karakter Religius Siswa

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the moral akidah teacher in shaping the religious character of students, knowing the efforts made in shaping the religious character of students, and knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors in shaping the religious character of students. This research is field research. The method used is data triangulation, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. While the analysis technique used is deductive thinking technique, the thinking technique is sequential from the basics of general knowledge to things that are more explicit or specific and inductive, namely data obtained from empirical data through observation to a theory. The results of the study indicate that the teacher of moral akidah has a role in shaping the religious character of students as a mediator and a good role model. Efforts are made in shaping the religious character of students, namely increasing student awareness by providing sanctions for violations of rules, and habituation of religious activities. Supporting factors include commitment and good cooperation between principals, teachers, students, and all members of the school community, exemplary examples from the teacher council and staff employees, the role of parents, adequate facilities and infrastructure, and a supportive environment. While the inhibiting factors include parental background factors, lack of awareness and willingness of students, and lack of student discipline in carrying out the rules.
